Thanks to its location, the agriturismo is the ideal starting point to reach in less than an hour the main Umbrian cities such as Todi, Assisi, Orvieto and Perugia, as well as medieval villages like Monte Castello di Vibio, or visit in San Venanzo the Volcanological Park and Museum.
For those who love relaxation, it is possible to take walks in the woods surrounding the property, discover numerous plant species, and perhaps spot local wildlife such as hares and roe deer, especially at sunrise or sunset. Guests can also meet our farm animals and, in summer, take part in honey extraction and truffle hunting, while in autumn join the olive harvest and pressing.
The surroundings offer marked trails for short or long hikes on foot or by mountain bike. On Monte Peglia, you can stop at Parco dei Sette Frati, a public green area equipped with picnic tables and barbecues. Another option is visiting the many small medieval villages in the Municipality of San Venanzo, close to the property, such as Rotecastello, Civitella dei Conti and Poggio Aquilone.
San Venanzo: the main town of the municipality, San Venanzo owes its geological features to the activity of three small extinct volcanoes, now part of a Volcanological Park where ancient lava flows and rare minerals like venanzite can be seen. The village also hosts a Volcanological Museum featuring fossils, minerals and archaeological finds from the area.
